Project type:

Location:
Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Category
Architectural design | Project management | Residential
Commissioned from RIBA Stage 4 onwards, our role encompasses detailed design, principal designer (CDM), and principal designer (BSA)
The Old Dairy is an 18th Century dilapidated barn and is in the process of being converted to a family home.
The client approached us with planning permission to convert the current barn and construct a small garage and porch extension. Despite its mostly sound structure, the barn was in poor condition, and the family aspired to make it as energy-efficient as possible.
For this high-quality conversion, attention has been paid to thermal detailing to achieve Passivhaus Low Energy.
