A bespoke gym for a personal trainer, involving architectural design, statutory consents, specification, procurement and project management
Situated within the client’s garden, the brief was for a modern and attractive space in which to exercise and conduct personal training sessions, with enough ample space for equipment, plenty of light and a clear connection to the outdoors.
This informed our design externally, implementing an elegant overhanging flat roof with sleek spotlights, seamless timber cladding wrapping across the exterior, and bi-fold doors to open up to garden.
Internally, we opted to lower the floor level, involving some tricky technical design, in order to maximise headroom in the space.
